Aviation Maintenance Instructor

Lincoln Land Community College is seeking qualified instructors to provide instructional support to students of the Aviation Maintenance Program. Courses are delivered in a sequential format, allowing students to focus on one subject at a time until completion. Course requirements are based on FAA-mandated classroom and laboratory hours and a minimum passing grade of 70%. Individual courses range from three days to seven weeks in length.

Aviation Maintenance Instructors are part-time (or as needed), non-benefited employees and may work up to 27 hours a week. The Aviation Center is open Monday - Thursday 7:30a - 3:30p when classes are session; otherwise center hours are 7:00a-5:00p (Mon-Thurs). Work hours will be scheduled during these times. Starting pay will be $32.50 per hour.

Instructors will be responsible for the following:

• Instruct students on course materials during class hours.
• Assist students during lab and shop work.
• Assign students projects for lab and shop work.
• Supervise students during shop work to provide safe working conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
