The Certified Nurse Midwife or Women's Health Nurse Practitioner works at the Ohio State University College of Nursing Inter-professional Collaborative Practice Clinic (IPCP) at the OSU Total Health Care Center, housed at Outpatient Care East and the Eastland Prosperity Center, with NPs and other members of the inter-professional collaborative practice team to provide antenatal, post-partum and gynecological care to patients in a clinic setting; works with members of the healthcare team to formulate treatment plans; triages patients and provides emergency treatment when appropriate; conducts in-service training and monitors the skill levels of clinical staff; teaches and mentors health professional students on theory and practice of care delivery by an inter-professional team; serves as preceptor for RN, APN and medical students; consults and/or refers women to an appropriate provider for conditions that fall outside the scope of midwifery care.

The new Eastland Prosperity Center is located near Rufugee and Hamilton Roads and will serve as a human services hub in southeast Columbus. The Center will combine a free food market with a community health center, city services, and other supports under on roof. Additional Information:

Minimum Education required, degree level and focus area: Master of Science Degree in Nursing. APRN license with certification as an NP.

Minimum Years of Experience required: 0 years of relevant experience required.
