Sauk Valley Community College (SVCC), a comprehensive community college located in a picturesque rural setting, invites applications from innovative and experienced educators for an Adjunct Faculty - Introduction to Oral Communication opening. We are seeking instructors to contribute to our dynamic academic programs. This is for an on-campus/in-person daytime section of SVCC's COM 131 Introduction to Oral Communication.

Examples of Duties

The Adjunct Faculty member is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and reports directly to the Dean of Transfer Programs (or appropriate Academic Dean, depending on discipline).

• To be mindful of the philosophy and objectives of the College and use them as guidelines in planning, structuring, and teaching courses.
• Deliver engaging and effective classroom, lab, or clinical instruction tailored to the specific discipline.
• Foster a supportive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.

Qualifications

We are seeking dedicated educators committed to student achievement.

• Education: A Master's degree in the discipline or Master's degree in relevant field and at least 18 earned graduate credit hours in the discipline.
• Experience: Prior experience teaching in a community college environment is preferred.
• Background Check: All applicants will be subject to standard background checks.
