Description
SUMMARY
The Manager of Athletic Recruitment and Student Success reports to the Director of Athletics. The Manager develops and coordinates comprehensive recruitment, retention, academic success, and transfer initiatives for student-athletes. The position collaborates with Athletics, Enrollment Services, Financial Aid, Academic Advising, and faculty to promote student success, NJCAA eligibility compliance, retention, graduation, and transfer opportunities.
Examples of Duties
- Monitor and support academic progress and eligibility in accordance with NJCAA, conference, and institutional requirements.
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract academically and athletically qualified student-athletes to SSC athletic programs.
- Coordinate interventions and student success strategies designed to improve retention, persistence, academic achievement, and completion rates among student-athletes
- Collaborate with faculty, advisors, and student support personnel to monitor academic performance and connect student-athletes with appropriate support services.
- Collect, analyze, and report recruitment, retention, persistence, graduation, transfer, and eligibility data to assess program effectiveness and support continuous improvement.
- Develop and deliver workshops related to academic success, eligibility, transfer readiness, and career planning.
- Conduct Participate in departmental, divisional, and college committees as assigned.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor'sdegree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in athletics administration or coaching.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse student populations.
- ExtensiveStrong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to establish collaborative relationships with students, faculty, staff, coaches, and external partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and student information management systems.
- Valid driver's license and abilityto travelforrecruitment andoutreach activities.
- Successful completion of a background check.
Supplemental Information
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five (5) years or more of professional experience in athletics administration or coaching.
- Professional experience in student services, academic advising, enrollment management, recruitment, retention, or a related field.
STATUS/SALARY:
This position is a full-time position working 12 months, 40 hours per week. The annual salary is $55,000 plus the following employee benefits: $16,000 Flexible Health Benefit:, 15 Vacation, 12 Medical and 3 Personal Days Earned within the First Year of Employment, and 16 Holidays, 5 Winter break days, 4-Day Summer Workweek.
