Position Summary & Essential Duties
Reporting to the Executive Director, Dual Credit and High School Partnerships, and the Director of Recruitment, the Dual Credit Student Success Navigator & Marketing Outreach Coordinator serves partner school districts in the East Williamson County service area. Approximately half of the position’s scheduled hours are dedicated to individualized support for enrolled dual credit students, under the direction of the Executive Director, Dual Credit & High School Partnerships. The remaining hours are dedicated to outreach and recruitment for Temple College academic and workforce programs, under the direction of the Director of Recruitment. Student needs and scheduled outreach activities may shift the balance from week to week.
Qualifications (Required and Preferred)
A bachelor’s degree and two years of directly related experience, or an associate’s degree and four years of directly related experience. Experience supporting students in a college or school district setting is preferred. A valid Texas driver’s license, or the ability to obtain one, is required when travel is assigned.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Dual Credit Student Success Navigator
- Provide individualized, wraparound support to dual credit students from enrollment through course completion. Follow up with students who need help preparing for classes, staying engaged, addressing academic concerns, or overcoming barriers to success.
- Use student success information, referrals, and faculty alerts to identify students who may benefit from outreach. Document contacts, referrals, follow-up, and outcomes in approved systems.
- Help students navigate application, testing, orientation, registration, and college technology steps. Refer advising and registration decisions to the assigned Dual Credit Enrollment Advisor.
- Connect students with tutoring, academic support, technology assistance, disability services, and basic needs resources. Follow up to help students access those services.
- Reach out to students referred for attendance, missing work, grades, or other concerns. Communicate significant or unresolved issues to the appropriate Dual Credit team member.
- Coordinate student support with Associate Director Dual Credit and the Dual Credit Enrollment Advisors, faculty, and school district contacts.
- Build working relationships with counselors, instructors, and administrators at partner school districts to support student follow-up and opportunities to meet with students and families.
- Maintain accurate student support records, safeguard student information in accordance with FERPA and College procedures, and provide periodic summaries of student support activity.
Marketing Outreach Coordinator
- Share information with prospective students and families about Temple College academic and workforce programs, dual credit opportunities, admissions steps, college and career pathways, and available support services.
- Help high school students and families understand opportunities at Temple College and next steps after graduation. Connect those seeking individualized guidance with admissions, advising, financial aid, or program staff.
- Coordinate and participate in school visits, recruitment events, college and career fairs, information sessions, workshops, Preview Days, and Open Houses on school campuses or at the College.
- Prepare or adapt outreach materials and follow-up communications in coordination with the College’s recruitment and marketing teams, using approved messaging and platforms.
- Collaborate with the Recruitment Task Force and other College departments on outreach to high school students and families throughout the service area.
- Track school visits, event participation, students reached, inquiries, and recruitment follow-up. Share regular summaries to inform outreach and communications.
- Other Responsibilities
- Coordinate schedules with the Executive Director, Dual Credit & High School Partnerships, and the Director of Marketing to devote approximately half of scheduled hours to each area, adjusting the weekly schedule for student needs and outreach events.
- Respond to inquiries related to assigned student support and outreach activities, directing questions outside the position’s responsibilities to the appropriate staff member.
- Travel to assigned high schools and participate in relevant meetings, training, and College events.
- Assist with related departmental activities during peak periods, consistent with the position’s student support and outreach responsibilities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities & Physical Demands
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of student support practices, dual credit and college enrollment steps, academic resources, outreach practices, and confidentiality requirements.
- Familiarity with college admissions, advising, and financial aid processes and the ability to refer students to the appropriate staff for individualized guidance.
- Skills:
- Strong listening, interpersonal communication, organization, follow-up, and customer service skills.
Abilities:
- Ability to build relationships with students, families, school district partners, and College staff.
- Ability to manage student follow-up alongside a changing schedule of school visits and events.
- Ability to use student information, reporting, and communication systems accurately and in accordance with College procedures.
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Light physical activity is required, with occasional lifting of objects up to 15 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed on campus and at partner high schools. Regular travel within the assigned service area is required. Some evening and occasional weekend work may be required for student services and outreach events.
WORK SCHEDULE:
A flexible schedule may be required to align with school district schedules, student needs, and outreach events. Temple College’s regular schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with a one-hour lunch break, and 8:00 a.m. to noon on Friday.
SUMMER SCHEDULE:
7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with a half-hour lunch break.
Evening work may be required during registration and recruitment periods. Occasional virtual weekend services may be required.
This is an on-site position; essential in-person duties must be performed during assigned work hours.
