Part-time Faculty, Nursing – Graduate – Nursing

Summary of Position

Provides expertise in clinical or didactic education, student mentorship, and evidence-based practice. Delivers engaging instruction, supporting intellectually diverse learners, and preparing nursing students for professional practice in academic and clinical settings.

Position Information

Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday. Teaching assignments may be remote or at various locations.

Qualifications and Competencies

Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures:Unencumbered, active Ohio Registered Nurse license (RN) at the time of employment. Certification in field of study Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Gero- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP), or Nurse Education (CNE).

Sponsorship and/or Work Authorization Status: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Minimum Qualifications: An earned master’s and bachelor’s degree of Science in Nursing (MSN and BSN); unencumbered active Ohio Registered Nurse license (RN) at the time of employment; certification in field of study Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Gero- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP), or Nurse Education (CNE); must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Physical Requirements: In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform sedentary work.

Sedentary: work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as Sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other Sedentary criteria aremet.
