Bus Driver

We are looking for Bus Drivers (FT) to join our District. A successful candidate will drive a school bus or school automobile on an assigned route, perform minor maintenance tasks such as the cleaning and/or washing the bus, fuel the bus as needed, and perform related work as required by the Transportation Coordinator.

We are looking for highly qualified candidates with a good knowledge of driving safe practices, traffic laws and regulations, the ability to understand and follow simple oral and written directions, get along well with children and to create a safe and respectful bus environment; mental alertness; dependable and reliable.

• Must have or be eligible to have a New York State CDL license
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Have graduated from high school or have a GED
• Must be up to date with both training and physical exam requirements.
• Must satisfy the requirements for School Bus Driver set forth in the Rules and Regulations of the New York State Commissioner of Education.
