Part time Provider (Student Intern) - Frasier Center (DHS)

POSITION TITLE: PART-TIME PROGRAM PROVIDER

WORK SCHEDULE: 185 days

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

This is a part time hourly position. The annual period of service is 185 days.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

To facilitate academic enrichment lessons that support and enhance students’ learning and that are aligned with the school day instruction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervises all activities to ensure safety at all times.
• Implement instructional experiences developed by the Afterschool Program Manager.
• Uses a variety of instructional materials, resources, and experiences to enrich student learning.
• Uses effective positive interpersonal communication skills.
• Builds relationships with other teachers, building administrators, and staff to drive collaboration and program success.
• Assists Afterschool Program Manager in daily duties and responsibilities within the school.
• Participates in dismissal procedures, ensuring each child leave with the appropriate authorized adult.
• Participates in recommended training programs, and other aspects of professional growth, maintaining current knowledge of early childhood practice.

SUPERVISORY REPSONSIBILITIES: Supervises students.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma or GED equivalent and 6 months relative work experience

EVALUATION:
Performance of this job shall be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
To perform the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, or hear. Lifting up to 30 pounds may be required on an occasional basis.
