Electrician Lead

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or GED required.

2. Current State of Texas Journeyman or Master License.

3. Seven (7) years of experience in the trade.

4. Ability to speak, read and understand the English language.

5. Class B CDL or the ability to obtain within six months of employment.

6. Must have a clear and acceptable driving record as determined by the Texas School Bus Driver’s requirement.

7. Working knowledge of codes and ordinances concerning Electrical systems.

8. Must be able to read, comprehend and edit specifications and prints for new constructions.

Salary/Pay Grade

$30.67/HS12

Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year

Terms of Employment:

261 days

Essential Functions:

1. Perform all responsibilities of an Electrician I-IV.

2. Maintain a good working relationship with fellow employees.

3. Serve as first contact for problems, concerns or grievances.

4. Make recommendations to the Electrical Forman on addressing disciplinary issues.

5. Keep the Forman abreast of daily work activities.

6. Coordinate and assist the department with modifications, work orders, emergencies and large projects as needed to complete assignments.

7. Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Management Team.

8. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions for all Electrician positions:

1. Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds.

2. Be available to work different schedules or shifts to accomplish tasks.

3. Be available for after hour demands, subject to 24-hour responsibility.

4. Maintain emotional control under stress.

5. Ability to work independently.

6. Ability to keep information confidential.
