Substitute Librarian Fall 2026

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized, accredited college or university
• Experience as a CFISD certified Librarian

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Substitutes are employed on an at-will basis and are not considered contractual employees.

FEES:

There is a fingerprinting fee (approximately $50.00) associated with this application process.

SALARY:

$110.00/day (daily assignments)

$145/day - $180/day (long-term assignments)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for implementing the District's Library program and educational philosophy in accordance with district policies and procedures on a day to day basis.
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. Move small stacks of books, media equipment, tables, and other library equipment.
