Lab Assistant (Construction)

Reports to: Instructors / Assistant Principal

General:

Our lab assistants support our instructors in running a safe and effective lab. We are currently looking for a lab assistant in the following program:

• Construction

Responsibilities:

• Assist students with practicing their skills and reaching competency.
• Assist with lab procedures and safety.
• Review projects and instructions with students in smaller groups as needed.
• Provide feedback on students to teachers, student services counselor, career counselor and administration as needed.
• Support the lab by organizing and moving supplies and/or equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Certification and experience in the field of the program you are applying for.
• Paraprofessional educator endorsed or eligible to obtain Paraprofessional educator endorsement from www.isbe.net.
• Bilingual; helpful but not required

• Salary and Benefits:
• Hourly Rate: $30 / Hour
• Benefits NOT Included (Part-time role)

Hours and Days (Flexible Options Based on Your Need):

Follow TCD's schedule: Aug. 10, 2026 - May 20, 2027
Option 1 Mon - Fri / 8:15am - 2:15pm (5.5 hours paid) - With a 30-Minute Lunch
Option 2 Mon - Fri / 8:00am - 10:30am (2.5 hours paid)
Option 3 Mon - Fri / 12:00pm - 2:30pm (2.5 hours paid)
* We are willing to hire two applicants if there is interest in a job share.
