Mechanic Position Description

This is a 12 month, 8 hour day position available immediately. The salary and benefits are in accordance with the current Support Association Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement.

The Mechanic provides maintenance on District buses and other vehicles so that the fleet is kept in a state of operating excellence to ensure vehicles present no problems or interruptions to the educational program.

Qualified candidates must at minimum have a high school diploma or equivalent, must possess a valid Pennsylvania CDL license with school bus and passenger endorsement, as well as a Pennsylvania vehicle inspection license or willing to pursue. Five (5) years' experience in transportation and as a mechanic. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and Roush Autogas academy certified. Experience with propane vehicles preferred.

Compensation $29.16 hourly.

Completion of a successful interview is required along with meeting all local standards and requirements.
