Substitute Custodian

Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Substitute Custodian. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our facilities. As a substitute, you will step in as needed to support the regular custodial staff, ensuring that all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

• Responsibilities
• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing various areas of the facility.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, ensuring they are well-stocked with necessary supplies.
• Assist in maintaining outdoor areas by picking up litter and ensuring walkways are clear and safe.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and protocols, adapting as necessary based on specific needs.
• Support event setups and breakdowns as required.
• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and efficient cleaning operation.

• Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work is a plus but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move objects as needed.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies is preferred.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Flexibility to work on short notice and adapt to varying schedules.
• Must pass a background check and comply with all safety regulations.
