POSITION: Personnel Specialist

JOB SUMMARY: ETSD is seeking a dedicated, reliable, and detail-oriented candidate to join our Personnel team. The ideal candidate will manage employee records, assist with the hiring process, and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations. This role supports both employees and administration in areas of onboarding and employee relations.

QUALIFICATIONS: The Personnel Specialist position is a senior-level role that demands exceptional expertise and professional competence.

• High School diploma, two years of college, or business school or equivalent preferred.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with administrators, teachers, school office personnel, and other district staff members.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Experience with personnel software (SchoolFi preferred)
• Experience with employee attendance software (RedRover preferred)
• Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite.
• Meticulous attention to detail is required: focus and accuracy over speed is essential.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to EEO, anti-discrimination laws and regulations, FMLA, and NJFLA/NJFLI.
• Dedicated to maintaining strict employee confidentiality and the professional handling of all private personnel data.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

REPORTS TO: Director of Personnel
CONTRACT SCHOOL YEAR: 12 month position.
SALARY: Commensurate with skill set and experience
BENEFITS: Benefits package after completion of successful sixty (60) day probationary period.
