Learning Support Teacher - Senior High School

The Exeter Township School District is seeking a compassionate special education teacher at our Senior High School. The selected individuals will:

• Be responsible for planning instruction and/or adaptation of the education program to enable students to benefit from educational experiences.
• Assist in development, implementation and evaluation of district-approved curriculum.
• Plan curriculum, lessons and special education programs utilizing specialized and adaptive teaching methods and materials.
• Evaluate academic and social growth of students, prepare and maintain appropriate educational records, IEPs, required forms/reports and provide specific and timely feedback.
• Foster an environment which encourages active student participation in the learning process.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Education.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Pennsylvania Teaching Certification in Special Education and required supplemental professional development.
