Classroom Observation Request - Fall 2026

Classroom Observation Only - College Students and Alternative Certification Candidates Only

Requests received prior to August 25 will receive a response by August 25.

You must include a copy of your syllabus or assignment to document your need for classroom observation. Approximately three business days after submitting the form, during the observation window, you will receive a letter via email verifying your clearance following a background check. If the background check reveals a felony arrest or other information that prevents clearance for observation, a GISD investigator will contact you to discuss the information.

Once you receive the letter of verification, you are responsible for contacting the principal at each campus where you wish to observe to request permission. You must provide the letter to the principal when you make contact and present it to the campus office upon arrival. A map with addresses and phone numbers for each campus is available on the Garland ISD website.

Please note that the observation window for each semester is subject to change based on campus discretion. Adhering to this timeline will assist us in accommodating your requests to observe during the most appropriate times for teachers and students.
