Library Aide

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

To assist and supervise students using the library computers, modify and maintain library computers, and assist the librarian in other library related responsibilities. Library is on the Specials rotation.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient skills in computer technology
Good people skills and public relations

Experience:
Previous library work preferred
Some experience working with children

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

1. Assist and supervise students at the library computers.

2. Modify and maintain library computers.

3. Assist the librarian in the clerical duties of the library, including processing books, A-V equipment and materials, computer software, magazines.

4. Assist students with research papers and other assignments.

5. Performs other related duties as assigned.

machine, calculator
