Overview

Join our team to support classroom teachers in providing a safe, engaging, and organized learning environment for students with diverse needs. Assist with instruction, student supervision, and classroom management under the guidance of a certified teacher.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must obtain Texas Educational Aide Certificate (a part of District onboarding process)
• Completion of ParaSkills Course through STEDI.org (provided by District)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with children effectively
• Experience in education or working with children preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with lesson preparation, classroom activities, and displays
• Support individual or small group instruction as directed
• Administer and score assessments under teacher supervision
• Supervise students throughout the day—classroom, lunch, bus, and playground
• Help maintain classroom organization, inventory, and equipment
• Support administrative tasks, record-keeping, and reports
• Participate in professional development, meetings, and school events

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, bending, stooping, and lifting of light classroom materials
• Maintain composure and professionalism under stress
