Assistant Principal - Harlingen High School South

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Assist the school principal in the overall administration of the instructional program and operations at the campus level. Coordinate assigned student activities and services.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:

• Master's degree
• Texas Principal Certificate or other appropriate Texas Certification
• T-TESS Appraiser
• Valid Texas teaching certification

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Thorough understanding of school administrative operations
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Hight School Master Schedule, TTESS and PLCs (preferred)
• Knowledge in Student Discipline (preferred)

Experience:

• Minimum three years' experience as a classroom teacher
• Administrator Experience (Preferred)
• Leadership Experience at the Secondary Level (Instructional Coach, Counselor, Department Chair, Etc.)

CALENDAR: 207 work days
SALARY: Contingent on Experience
Minimum - $74,120
