Custodian Specialist

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To assist in the supervision, training and management of the custodial service operations district wide. Ensure that established government laws, school policies, routine cleaning, and maintenance procedures are being followed to maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building and grounds operations district wide.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High School Graduate or hold a GED Certificate and have a minimum 3 years experience in the related field of work.
Have an acceptable driving record to standards developed by the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas Education Agency (10 Point System).
Custodial Certificate preferred

Special knowledge/Skills:
Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos and carry out written or oral instructions.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measuring, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Completely skilled in techniques for minor building repairs and building and grounds maintenance.
Ability to repair, operate, maintain, and lift all cleaning equipment,
Ability to properly handle all cleaning supplies and adhere to all governmental regulations using MSDA.
Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and follows all attendance rules/expectations.

Minimum Experience:
3 years experience in cleaning, maintenance and safety procedures.

Work Calendar: 250 Days

Salary (hourly)
Minimum: $19.41 per hour
