Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Student Health Education Support (grant funded 3 years)

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Support district health education and campus-based diabetes care by assisting with training and implementation of care plans for newly diagnosed students and providing continuation of care support for students with existing diagnoses. Deliver services under RN direction to ensure safe, consistent practice across campuses.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education/Certification:

• Current, unrestricted LVN license in the state of Texas
• CPR Certified

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Foundational diabetes knowledge; strong communication; reliability across multiple campuses; adherence to protocols and RN direction.

Experience:

• 1 to2 years clinical experience; pediatrics/school health/chronic disease experience preferred.

CALENDAR: 210 work days
