Middle School English/ESL Teacher Pool (6-8) 2026-2027

Job Pool for all individuals interested in applying for Middle School ESL / Bilingual Teacher positions. Applicants can apply here for current and/or anticipated vacancies.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
• Valid ESL Core Subjects/Generalist (4-8) teaching certificate, Core Subjects/Bilingual Generalist (4-8) certificate, or ELAR 4-8 with ESL certificate
• Eligible ACP candidates must also meet ACP requirements and pass TExES examination(s) required for this position.
• Demonstrated competency in the academic subject area assigned

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Knowledge of academic subject assigned
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
