Workforce Coordinator (FS Construction Grant)

Primary Purpose:
Responsible for the coordination of workforce education programs

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
• General knowledge of computer systems and software applications

• Experience:
• Two years experience in relevant position
• Experience in adult education desired

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assists in planning, scheduling, delivering vocational training opportunities under this grant.
2. Assists in developing and implementing effective recruitment of eligible students for this grant.
3. Is responsible for coordinating the registration of students to determine eligibility and fitness for
program.
4. Identifies and works with employers to develop, schedule and coordinate appropriate workplace
educational classes at multiple sites as needed.
5. Works to ensure quality of educational services and overall performance of vocational educational
programs.
6. Assists in identifying, adapting and customizing adult educational curricula for all workforceoriented
programs.
7. Monitoring progress toward the attainment of workforce related outcomes including but not limited
to obtaining employment, retaining employment, and making transition to post-secondary
education for students who have exited program.
8. Develops activities that enhance the ability of former and current students to find jobs, such as
campus-based job fairs, promoting third party job fairs or other employment opportunities and
internships.
9. Assists in identifying and implementing effective workforce development strategies leading to
improvement in workforce outcomes for students.
10. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Director, Career
Pathways may from time to time assign or delegate.
