PROFESSIONAL ROLE, REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

The Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality health services that promote the health, safety, and wellness of students and staff while supporting students' ability to fully participate in the educational program. At Cambridge Lakes Learning Center, all faculty and staff are learners. In this role, you will;

• Provide professional nursing services, first aid, illness, and emergency care to students and staff in accordance with professional standards, school policies, and applicable state requirements.
• Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation and confidential health records, including immunizations, physicals, medical conditions, screenings, and health services.
• Perform mandated vision and hearing screenings, as applicable, and fulfill mandated reporter responsibilities.
• Provide health education and counseling and promote a positive culture of health and wellness throughout the school community.
• Maintain the health office, supplies, equipment, daily logs, accident/incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Utilize technology effectively and maintain confidentiality regarding all student, staff, and health-related information.
• Partner with teachers, families, school leadership, and student services to support student health, safety, wellness, and success.
• Engage fully in Cambridge Lakes' Professional Excellence Framework and all professional responsibilities as outlined in the Guide to Excellence and Employee Handbook.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Illinois RN or LPN License required.
• Nursing experience required.

PREFERRED:

• School nursing experience.
• Experience working collaboratively with students, families, teachers, and school personnel.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Meet the standards outlined in the contract.
• Office-based with regular interaction throughout the school.
• Attendance at meetings and events outside regular school hours.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, perform routine nursing and firs-aid procedures, and must occasionally lift, move, and/or support up to 50 pounds.

• Competitive compensation with consistent adjustments to align with the market and skills
• Salary adjustments per specialized areas of study, certifications, advanced degree, Board certification, or as determined by leadership.

Pay Range: $185-$275+ per day. Placement within the range is determined by relevant education, professional experience, and applicable certifications.
