Key Responsibilities<!__TgQPHd|[]__><!__TgQPHd|[]__>

• Injury Prevention & Assessment:<!__TgQPHd|[]__> Evaluate injuries, administer first aid, and determine immediate medical needs during practices and sporting events.<!__TgQPHd|[]__><!__TgQPHd|[]__>
• Rehabilitation & Conditioning:<!__TgQPHd|[]__> Develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation and reconditioning programs for injured athletes to safely return to play.<!__TgQPHd|[]__><!__TgQPHd|[]__>
• Event Coverage:<!__TgQPHd|[]__> Provide on-site athletic training coverage for home and away athletic events, which requires flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends.<!__TgQPHd|[]__><!__TgQPHd|[]__>
• Medical Documentation:<!__TgQPHd|[]__> Maintain accurate, up-to-date injury records and treatment logs.<!__TgQPHd|[]__><!__TgQPHd|[]__>
• Compliance & Paperwork:<!__TgQPHd|[]__> Oversee the collection and clearance of required pre-participation physicals and state athletic association (e.g., UIL) participation forms.<!__TgQPHd|[]__><!__TgQPHd|[]__>
• Collaboration:<!__TgQPHd|[]__> Communicate effectively with coaching staff, parents, and school administration regarding athlete health and participation status.

Qualifications<!__TgQPHd|[]__><!__TgQPHd|[]__>

• Education:<!__TgQPHd|[]__> Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, or a related field.<!__TgQPHd|[]__><!__TgQPHd|[]__>
• Certification:<!__TgQPHd|[]__> Board of Certification (BOC) credentialed as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC).<!__TgQPHd|[]__><!__TgQPHd|[]__>
• Licensure:<!__TgQPHd|[]__> Eligible for or currently holding a valid state Athletic Trainer License (as required by your state).<!__TgQPHd|[]__><!__TgQPHd|[]__>
• Experience:<!__TgQPHd|[]__> Previous experience in a high school or collegiate athletic training setting is preferred.<!__TgQPHd|[]__><!__TgQPHd|[]__>
• Skills:<!__TgQPHd|[]__> Strong communication, emergency response skills, and a passion for working with adolescent student-athletes
