Girls Soccer Coach - 2026-2027

Goal

To provide an enjoyable and safe sporting experience for an assigned group of athletes, while they learn the basic skills needed for a sport. To help young athletes learn the importance of sportsmanship and fair play

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Liberty School District policies, rules, and objectives at all times
• Basic understanding of the rules, skills, and game knowledge required of the sport
• Ability to teach the basic skills of the sport – do not coach more than you understand
• Coach an assigned group of children, focusing on the importance of being on a team, sportsmanship and skill development
• Conduct team tryouts in accordance with District Policy
• Preside over team activities including all scheduled practices and games
• Monitor students on the team before, during and after games. No student will be left at a school unattended
• Responsible for maintaining care of all School and District Sports equipment
• Work to establish and improve team unity and spirit
• Ensure playing time for all players, regardless of the score
• Lead by example to support the goals of the Liberty Schools Athletic League

• Sound character, strong morals, values and personal ethics
• Liberty ESD Certified Staff (preferred)

Requirements

• Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Complete District provided Concussion Awareness and First Aid training
• Coaching assignments are per sport/season for current school year only

The employee regularly works indoors/outdoors.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
