Paraprofessional - Special Education (Mod/Int)

Work Days / Work Hours / Days per Year: Monday - Friday; 6.75 hours/day; 189 days per year (# of workdays for new-hires are pro-rated to date-of-hire)

Union / Classification: OAPSE 120 / Special Education Paraprofessionals
Reports to: Building Administrator(s) and/or Executive Director for the Office of Exceptional Children or designee
Hourly Rate: $18.75 per hour (2026/27 school year payrate)

• Required Certification(s):
• A) must be a highly-qualified paraprofessional under the provisions of ESSA and ORC 3319.074 by evidencing one of the following requirements:
• Associate of Arts Degree or higher (official transcripts required); OR
• two years of college totaling 48 or more semester hours (official transcripts required); OR
• passing score of 456 or higher on the ParaPro Assessment (copy of ParaPro Assessment results).
• B) AND must have or be able to obtain an Educational Aid Permit through the Ohio Department of Education
