Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• A master's degree in behavior analysis, psychology or a closely related field
• Certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a BCBA

OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION: To promote ethical and effective behavior interventions and the student's participation in everyday routines and activities that are a part of his or her program.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow local, state, and federal law and adhere to Public Education Department and Local School Board Policy.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Perform appropriate evaluations of children referred for challenging behaviors.
• Assist in the development of Individualized Education Programs to meet individual student's needs
• Provide individual and/or group therapy to students.
• Serve as a resource to school staff members in the area of Applied Behavior Analysis and behavioral supports.
• Follow all Technical Evaluation and Assessment Manual (TEAM) guidelines and
• Perform other relevant tasks as assigned.

REPORTS TO: Principal and Special Services Administrators

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Work year will be in accordance with current schedule for 191-day employee. Work day is an eight-hour day. Salary to be determined by individual training and experience level on current Certified Support Staff Salary Schedule.

EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board of Education's policy on evaluation of certified personnel.
