Bilingual Teacher

Must hold a Professional Educator License (PEL) and a Bilingual Spanish Endorsement (BSPA)
Fluent and literate in English and Spanish
Knowledgeable of curriculum and instruction, as well as second language acquisition.
Flexibility and strong communication skills required.
Position Responsibilities:
Be responsibile for planning and teaching students in a K-8 building that have been identitified as EL in order to building on reading and writing skills.
Be able to deliver instruciton in Spanish and English.
Have an understanding of second language learners.
Be able to adjust instruction based on individual student needs.
Be able to translate between languages both orallya nd in written form.
Collaborate with grade level teams to work on supporting EL students in English reading and writing skills.
Perform other duties as assigned.
