Long Term Maintenance Worker

REPORTS TO:
Director of Operations

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
October 13, 2026 - Approx. January 15, 2027

• 8 Hrs. per day (6:30AM - 3:00PM)
• Starting at $18.68 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma/equivalent
• Valid driver's license, CDL preferred
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance and repairs
• Availability for emergency calls
• Respect confidentiality
• Must be able to use tact and diplomacy in human relations
• References must be provided
• Ability to lift 50 Lbs.
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends included

Maintenance Tasks:

• Inspect school buildings and grounds on a regular basis and make repairs as needed
• Inspect maintenance equipment and vehicles on a regular basis and make repairs as needed
• Coordinate and prioritize building repair and maintenance activities
• Carry out a preventative maintenance program for facilities, grounds and equipment as directed
• Inspect work performed by outside contractors to ensure a high quality of work performed to specifications
• Regularly inspect and repair inside/outside equipment as needed to ensure a safe environment
• Regularly inspect school safety equipment to ensure good working order (Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lights)
• Mow and trim around buildings and grounds as scheduled
• Review work orders daily and complete them in a timely manner
• Make recommendations and repairs to ensure compliance with laws
• Assist in snow removal and salting of driveways, parking areas and walks a to maintain a safe environment
• Communicate with principals and building staff about maintenance projects
• Keep work environment clean orderly and safe
• Perform all work in a first-class workmanlike manner
• Assist the Director of Operations with building audits
• Perform all additional tasks as directed by the Director of Operations
• Promote a positive relationship with students, staff and community
• Adhere to the district's expectations with regards to attendance and punctuality
