Pay Grade: 4 $20.00-$28.20
Shift Type: Full-Time
Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Executive Director - Facilities Management
EMPLOYMENT BEGINS: As soon as possible

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

• To maintain a healthy pest free environment in all district facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Texas Drivers License with less that three (3) moving traffic violations within the past three (3) years
• State Pest Control License

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

• Demonstrate aptitude and ability to complete tasks involving physical labor.
• Exhibit to read and comprehend all labels.
• Possess knowledge of state rules and requirements regarding pest control.
• Road vehicles and spray equipment protection gear when necessary.

EXPERIENCE:

• Successful previous experience in performing pest control.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Operate equipment in a safe manner.
• To complete work orders as quickly and safely as possible.
• Maintain required documentation of pesticides, their use and frequency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• None

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands:

• Reading and comprehending simple instructions both written and oral.
• Writing simple required reports.

Physical demands/environmental factors:

• Lifting, pushing and or carrying of materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Reaching with hands and arms.
• Sitting, stooping, squatting and kneeling, reaching above the head and reaching forward.
• Working inside and outside.
• Exposure to dampness and humidity, slippery and uneven surfaces.
• Exposure to toxic chemicals.
• Using a respirator and other safety equipment.
