Roofing Helper

Auxiliary Compensation Plan
Salary Range: $16.29 - $19.87/hour
Shift Type: Full-Time
Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Roofing Supervisor
EMPLOYMENT BEGINS: As soon as possible
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
• To assist roofers and the supervisor in various tasks related to roofing installation, repair and maintenance.

• QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education/Certification:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Texas Driver’s License with less that three (3) moving traffic violations within the past three (3) years

• SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
• Able to follow instructions and use basic construction tools..

• EXPERIENCE:
• None needed. Entry level position.

• MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Assist with loading, unloading and organizing roofing materials and tools. Maintaining tools and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• None

• Comprehending and following instructions.

• Physical demands/environmental factors:
• Lifting and carrying items in excess of 50 pounds.
• Stooping, bending, kneeling and standing.
• Exposure to weather extremes of hot and cold.
• Exposure to material fumes and particles.
• Moderate to loud noise levels in work environment.
• Carrying and climbing ladders.
