General Food Service Assistant

Seeking an individual to assist in the preparation and serving of the school lunch program while maintaining food service facilities in a safe and sanitary condition. Starting hourly rate is $11.25. The pay range is $11.25 - $16.50 /hour. Experience, skills and assignment will be considered in determining pay. The position is eligible for benefits, including health insurance.

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required

* Food service experience preferred

* Physical fitness and emotional stability to perform the job

* Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

* Must successfully complete required food and kitchen safety training

* Must be able to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction

Major Responsibilities:

* Performing duties for food preparation

* Maintain sanitation standards for the food service area

* Maintain positive work habits

* Perform duties efficiently and productively

* Maintain and/or upgrade skills as necesssary

* Maintain personal qualities appropriate for designated job
