Substitute Teacher

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and flexible individual to fill the role of a Substitute Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring that students continue to engage with the curriculum in the absence of their regular teacher. This role requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and a passion for education.

• Responsibilities
• Implement lesson plans as provided by the regular teacher, ensuring that educational objectives are met.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
• Engage students in learning activities and encourage participation.
• Provide support to students with varying needs and learning styles.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as necessary.
• Complete necessary administrative tasks, including attendance and reporting student progress.
• Adhere to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health protocols.
• Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources as needed.
• Foster a positive relationship with students to promote a supportive learning atmosphere.

• Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Valid teaching certification or substitute teaching license as required by state regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and student needs.
• Experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Background check clearance as required by school district policies.
