Job Description

Penn Manor School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Junior High Boys Wrestling Coach to support the Head Coach in developing and leading our junior high boys wrestling program. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of wrestling technique and strategies, a passion for working with young athletes, and the ability to assist in creating a positive and challenging learning environment. This is a seasonal, part-time position that runs during the winter athletic season.

Responsibilities:

• Teach fundamental wrestling techniques, rules, scoring, and match strategies suitable for junior high skill levels
• Design and execute daily practice plans that prioritize safety, skill progression, and conditioning.
• Fostering a positive and supportive team culture
• Adhering to all district and league regulations
• Collaborate with the High School Head Coach to align technical instruction with varsity expectations

• Manage match logistics and lineups
• Supervise student-athletes at all times—during practice, in locker rooms, on buses, and at athletic events

Qualifications

• Ability to build strong relationships with student-athletes, parents, community and staff
• A passion for working with and developing young athletes.
• Past wrestling experience as an athlete or coach

Required Clearances

Upon hire, the successful candidate will be required to complete the following clearances:

• Pre-employment drug test
• Work physical
• TB test
• Act 34 Clearance
• Act 114 Clearance
• Act 151 Clearance
