Homebound Consulting Teacher

POSITION TITLE: Homebound Tutors
REPORTS TO: Coordinator I - Special Education

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Experience or Training
Valid Professional Educators Teaching License with endorsements in: English, Mathematics, LBSI, Science and/or Social Studies
Desired Experience or Training
Previous Homebound Tutoring experience

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teach prescribed academic coursework.
• Collaborate with colleagues regarding student assignments.
• Travel to students' homes.
• Coordinate and collaborate with students and parents to schedule sessions
• Maintain accurate records
• Work 2-3 nights after school, approximately 2-3 hours per night
• Other duties as assigned.
• Ability to coordinate student assignments during time of absence.
• Ability to communicate with student's teachers about progress and/or assignment completion.
• Ability to communicate with home to schedule hours of tutoring.
• Progress monitor students work.
