Staff Relationships: This person is directly responsible to the Director of Finance

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience, 2 years payroll experience and 2 years HR experience.

Required Knowledge/Skills:

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal requirements relating to payroll issues and reports
• Knowledge of payroll accounting and auditing principles
• Effective public relations and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency skills in keyboarding and file maintenance
• Ability to adhere to all deadlines
• Ability to work with numbers in an accurate and rapid manner
• Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, databases and do word processing
• Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records
• High levels of organization, customer service, detailed documentation procedures, communication, accountability and initiative required

Terms of Employment:

• Salary based on experience and in accordance with RISD Salary Schedule ($46,428-$66,428)
• 226 days (12 months)
