Bus Driver (Pool)

A Bus Driver's duties are to transport students between their homes and their school campus in absolute safety as well as on other school functions.
Requirements:
• Valid Texas Commercial Driver License with a "P" and "S" Endorsements: Class B or Class A

• Special Skills:
• Must be 18 years of age
• Ability to pass alcohol and drug test
• Ability to complete required bus driver safety training
• Physical ability to perform assigned duties necessary to drive a school bus
• The ability to maintain effective pupil behavior management control over groups of children
• The ability to speak and communicate positively to passengers as well as teachers, staff and parents
• The ability to read, write and understand maps and other written instructions
• The ability to cooperate with fellow workers and promote harmony in the Transportation Department and District
• Must have empathy for students of all ages
• Must have a clean record and pass a criminal background check
• Experience preferred, but not required
