POSITION: Maintenance Mechanic II
SALARY: $28.51 Per Hour/ As Per CSEA Contract
DEPARTMENT: Buildings & Grounds
START DATE: 2026 - 2027 School Year

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Valid New York State Driver’s License
  • New York State Education Department Fingerprint Clearance

CANDIDATE MUST HAVE EITHER:

  • Completion of two (2) years of vocational education courses in a vocational school program or in an apprentice or training program in one of the craft areas; or
  • Two (2) years of experience in minor maintenance or repair work; or
  • One (1) year of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic I
  • Good knowledge of the standard electrical tools, materials, methods and practices
  • Ability to read blueprints, sketches, assembly diagrams or operating instructions
