Admissions Counselor

Responsible for translating the goals and values of the University to all categories of prospective students. Serves as an on-campus representative of Sam Houston State University responsible for recruiting and guiding prospective students from initial inquiry through enrollment. Engages in outreach, relationship building, and data-informed recruitment strategies to support University enrollment goals. Develops relationships with students, families, schools, counselors, and community partners while providing individualized support throughout the admissions and enrollment process.
