Chief of Police

Seymour ISD is taking applications for the position of Chief of Police for the Seymour ISD Police Department. Preferred candidates will have over ten years of full time law enforcement experience and shall hold a valid T-Cole license. The candidate is expected to obtain school base law enforcement certificate within 6 months of hire and also obtain initial chief training within one year of hiring date. The ideal candidate will be someone who is patient, understands small schools, and is a great relationship builder with all students and community. The Seymour ISD Chief of Police will supervise two officers and will be the Safety and Security Coordinator for the District. The contract will be for 206 days of work. Benefits include: $525 towards health insurance, 5% matching 403(b), department issued vehicle, and lunch provided during school hours.
