Position Title: General Maintenance Worker

Location: SISD Maintenance Department

Salary: District Pay Scale

Length of Work Day/Year: 240 Days

Position Requirements:

Education/ Valid Texas Driver’s License

Certification: High Diploma or GED

Experience: Experience in general building maintenance

Duties:

• Perform general maintenance and repair of building structures and their mechanical, electrical, and sanitary systems
• Assist in repair and maintenance of district facilities including repairing woodwork; replacing electrical switches, fixtures, and motors; repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures and drainage systems; replacing broken glass
• Assist with relocation of furnishings such as desks, tables, chairs, file cabinets, etc.
• Move, install, assemble, and repair school furniture and playground equipment
• Operate light truck, equipment, and tools following established safety procedures
