Job Summary:
The Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) � Student Activities Coordinator will provide district-wide coordination and support for student-facing Community School programs and services, ensuring equitable access, high-quality experiences, and alignment with District goals. Coordinate volunteer engagement to enhance enrichment offerings and strengthen school�community partnerships.
Organizational Relationship:
The Teacher on Special Assignment- Student Activities Coordinator reports directly to the Community Schools Program Director.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Professional Educator License
- Administrative Endorsement (Principal Endorsement) or working toward administrative licensure, preferred
- Ability to travel between program sites and work flexible hours (typically 10:30 a.m.�6:30 p.m. during the school year; 8:00 a.m.�4:00 p.m. in summer)
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions regarding the safety and welfare of students
- Solutions-focused approach to supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of all children
- Experience working within an elementary school setting and a diverse (culturally, racially, ethnically, linguistically etc.) student population
- Fluency in a second language, preferred
