Student Teacher/ University Intern

1. Apply. Initiate the background/criminal history check process by completing and submitting an application in our Career Portal at www.splendoraisd.org.

2. Upload Required Documents. This documentation must include your ID, your course syllabus, and verification of your current enrollment in a class requiring completion of internship. It must contain your name and a school contact name, phone number, and email.

3. Clearance by HR. Once your application has been reviewed and you have been cleared to move forward, you will be given information for fingerprinting for the Texas Education Agency (TEA)

4. Communicate. Contact the Secretary of Human Resources, Brittney Garrett, at (281) 689-4422 or bgarrett@splendoriasd.org to confirm that your program information has been received and your application is complete.

*Remember that all information on campus and in classrooms is confidential.

*You may not observe in the classroom of your own children.

*Approved internship is for either one semester or the full year.

*Professional dress is required for all interns.

*Respect the decision of the district/campus administrator regarding which classroom and teacher you will be assigned.

*Please be courteous to the campus staff assisting you.

In the best interest of our students and staff, student teaching / Internship positions may be limited depending on availability.
