PC and Network Support Technician (and Apple)

Who We Are:
The Springfield City School District, home to the John Legend Theatre, is seeking PC & Apple Network Support Technician for the 2026-2027 school year. The person in this position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting technology/networking equipment and software, including both Mac and PC platforms. They are also responsible for assisting and providing user support to staff district wide.

We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning commmunity of 17 state of the art buildingd in West-Central Ohio. As a PC & Apple Network Support Technician, you are required to:

• High School Diploma or the equivalent
• Five (5) years experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Apple (Mac OS, iOS, iPadOS) and Windows platform hardware, software; experience with networked peripherals and audio/visual equipment.
• Experience in the installation, use, and troubleshooting of a variety of operating systems and applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Network+ Certification. For those candidates without Network+ certification, the District will require the Network+ certification to be completed during the probationary period.

As a PC & Apple Network Support Technician, you will:

• Lifting up to 50 pounds using a one (1) person lift, pivot with the weight and transport up to 20 feet. Lifts are normally conducted up to three (3) times per day, but can range as high as 20 times per day.
• Bending at hips and knees on a frequent basis over a seven hour period
• Kneeling with one or both legs on a frequent basis over a seven hour period
• Reaching while pushing or pulling on a frequent basis over a seven hour period
• Standing and walking on uneven, soft and hard surfaces on a frequent basis over a seven hour period
• Fine motor skills required to use pincher grasp and type
• Gross motor skills required to climb and balance on items such as ladders and stairs

What We Offer:
As a contracted employee, this position works 8 hours per day, 260 days per year.
Monday - Friday

Starting salary is $23.04 per hour in accordance with the SEUSS negotiated agreement offers increases based on experience and additional stipends (see below) for stated certifications/education.

Annual Certification/education stipends:

Network+ Certification: starting at $3,394.00 annually
Subject Matter Expert (x2): starting at $4,412.00 annually
APPLE Certification: starting at $4,412.00 annually
Associates Degree in Information Technology or related degree: starting at $4,752.00 annually
