Cafeteria Worker Position - Sundown ISD

Sundown ISD is seeking applicants for a Cafeteria Worker position. We are looking for individuals who take pride in serving others, value teamwork, and are committed to providing nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students and staff.

At Sundown ISD, our cafeteria team plays an essential role in the daily success of our schools. A healthy meal fuels student learning, and every interaction in the cafeteria is an opportunity to positively impact a child's day. The ideal candidate will be dependable, hardworking, self-motivated, and willing to go above and beyond to support the needs of our students and campus.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Preparing and serving nutritious meals in accordance with district and state guidelines
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, serving lines, dining areas, and food preparation equipment
• Assisting with food preparation, stocking, and inventory management
• Following proper food safety and sanitation procedures
• Working collaboratively with cafeteria staff to ensure efficient meal service
• Providing friendly, courteous service to students, staff, and visitors
• Helping create a positive and welcoming cafeteria environment that supports student success

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and dependability
• Positive attitude and a heart for serving children
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift supplies, and perform the physical duties associated with food service
• Food service or cafeteria experience preferred, but not required
