CTE - P-Tech Health Science Teacher - Tomball Star Academy - 2026-2027 School Year - Anticipated

Primary Purpose:

Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

• Provide direct instruction for CTE dual credit courses

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university

Valid Texas teaching certificate, with required endorsements for subjects/level assigned

Preferred Dual Credit Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with certification in medical assisting and 3 years of non-teaching work experience in the field.

Special Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of subjects assigned

General knowledge of curriculum and instruction

Experience:

At least one year of student teaching or approved internship

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.

Wage/Hour Status: Exempt
