You can also refuse us in your robots.txt, which we read and obey:

To keep the listings but slow us down, a Crawl-delay works, or tell us the rate you would prefer and we will set it.

Every request carries this user agent, with an address that reaches a person:

We do not disguise the crawler, rotate addresses, or try to look like a browser. If something is claiming to be EduJobsBot and behaving badly, tell us: it is not us, and we would like to know.

Public job listings and the pages they link to: the title, description, location, pay when it is stated, closing date, and the link a candidate uses to apply. Nothing else.

It does not submit forms, create accounts, sign in, or touch anything behind a login. It does not read applicant data, and it collects no personal information about anyone.

Between once a day and once a week per site, depending on how often that site’s postings change. Requests to a single host are spaced apart, and we fetch a listing page rather than crawling a site broadly. A typical visit is a handful of requests.

When a page has not changed since our last visit we stop there, so most visits cost you a single request.

Your openings appear on EduJobs with your name on them, and the apply button sends the candidate to your own applicant system or careers page. We never place ourselves between you and an applicant, and we never send a candidate to a competing job board.

If your listing on EduJobs is wrong, out of date, or you would like your institution’s page corrected, write to us and we will fix it.
