Job Summary

The Data Analytics and Reporting Specialist has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, collaborating with academic administrative departments to provide accurate, timely, and actionable information for decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives. The Data Analytics and Reporting Specialist will have experience analyzing data in higher education institutions and a strong understanding of higher education reporting requirements, enrollment trends, student outcomes, and regulatory compliance. This is an exempt position that reports to LSCPA’s Institutional Research and Effectiveness Department.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret institutional data to support planning, assessment, and decision-making
• Develop and maintain Argos reports, dashboards, forms, data blocks, and visualizations using Argos, SQL, and other analytical tools
• Troubleshoot data discrepancies and reporting issues within Banner and Argos environments
• Generate ad hoc reports requested by executive leadership, academic departments, and administrative units
• Ensure data accuracy through validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance processes
• Provide training and support to institutional users regarding reports, dashboards, and data interpretation
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis
• Conduct studies related to enrollment, retention, graduation rates, student success, workforce outcomes, and institutional effectiveness
• Comply with campus policies and procedures
• Other related duties, as assigned

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accreditation institution of higher education
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in higher education institutional research, data analytics, or business intelligence
• Demonstrated experience developing reports and dashboards
• Experience utilizing SQL for data extraction, validation, and reporting

Supplemental Information

Physical Requirements:
This position requires employees to remain in a stationary position most of the time; move to various locations on campus; move about inside an office to access documents, office equipment, etc.; and operate a computer or other office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine.

Work Hours:
Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week
