Part Time Nursing Clinical Instructor

SUNY Niagara is seeking part-time Nursing Instructors to teach in clinical areas of fundamentals (nursing home) 6.5 hours per week, Ortho/Neuro 12.5 hours per week, Pediatrics 12.5 hours per week lower level Maternity and lower level Medical Surgical in a Registered Nurse Associate Degree Program. The clinical assignments will be held once per week either with a 6 hour lab or a 12 hour lab.

NUR 211 (12.5 hour clinical day)

6am-6:30pm

Hospital setting

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday

Content area is: Ortho/Neuro

NUR 111 (6.5 hour clinical day)

7am-1:30pm or 2pm-8:30pm

LTC setting

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday

This is for our freshman students centered on basic nursing

Remuneration for this position will be: $903 per lab hour. This position is an exempt position and the compensation earned for the semester would be $5,418 for a 6 hour clinical rotation or $10,836 for a 12 hour clinical rotation.

Paid orientation to teaching, responsibilities will be provided. Individuals with current clinical proficiency and/or teaching experience are particularly encouraged to apply. Selected candidates may apply when applicable for a possible scholarship to earn a Master's of Science in Nursing Education.
